BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Junior libero Kirsten Brugere has been voted to the All-Ohio Valley Conference second team, as announced by the OVC office Wednesday night.

Volleyball head coaches and sports information directors around the conference voted Brugere and her peers to the All-OVC first and second teams. The junior is the first All-OVC selection from Tech since opposite Cody Dodd earned first-team honors in 2015, her senior season.

Brugere competed in all 28 of Tech's matches this season and saw action in 92 sets. She collected 383 digs and averaged 4.16 per set, both season-highs, and also added 47 assists, 11 service aces and four kills. In league play, she finished the regular season ranked second in the OVC with 302 total digs and 5.71 digs per set (second only to Defensive Player of the Year Chloe Rojas from Eastern Kentucky). As a team, Tech ranked third in OVC play with 17.02 digs per set.

Brugere totaled seven matches with 20+ digs and 17 matches with double-digit digs. She set a new career-high against Murray State on Oct. 14 with 28 digs. The following Monday, she was voted the adidas® OVC Defensive Player of the Week after collecting a total of 49 digs against Austin Peay and Murray State in consecutive matches.

All OVC postseason honors selections can be found on the OVC website.
