COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech volleyball team returns to Ohio Valley Conference action early this week as they host the Jacksonville State Gamecocks Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. CT. The match will be the first action in a unique doubleheader for Tech athletics, as the men's basketball team will host Loyola Chicago at 7:30 following the volleyball match.

This will be the second meeting of the year for the Golden Eagles and the Gamecocks. In the first meeting, the Gamecocks got the better of Tech, as they swept Tech behind 15 kills from Emily Rutherford and 23 assists form Abbey Heredia.

The Golden Eagles were led in the last matchup by senior Natalie Penrod who put down 10 kills. However, the senior has been out of action due to injury since October 18.

Juniors Courtney Smith and Allison May will be honored before the match for their accomplishments of each reaching 1,000 career digs.

A live video stream of the match will be available on OVCDigitalNetwork.com and live stats will also be available on TTUsports.com.

Tech fans who enter the Tuesday night volleyball match before the conclusion of the second set will receive a free general admission ticket to the men's basketball game afterwards.
