GLENDALE, Ariz. – Tennessee Tech women's golf is tied for seventh with Toledo at the BGSU Intercollegiate. Summer Pilot shoots a career-low round of 72 during the first 18 holes of action at Wigwam Resort – Blue.
The Golden Eagles shot 29 over as a team, a 13 over in the first round, and a 16 over in the second round to sit in seventh through 36 holes of action today. Summer Pilot leads the team and is 25th after a two-round score of five over (72-75).
Pilot made four birdies with two fours on Par-5 18, four on Par-5 10, and three on Par-4 14. The 72 marks the lowest round of her collegiate career, besting her previous low of 76, and is her second-lowest round of the season (75) in round two today. Pilot tied for fourth with 25 pars among the field today.
Chloe Griffith is 33rd at eight over after rounds of 76 and 74 today. Griffith made four birdies, sinking two on Par-3 15 twice and making four on Par-5 3, as well as three on Par-4 11.
Kaydi Rhodes is 36th at nine over through two rounds. Rhodes made six birdies and shot 77 and 74 through 36 holes today.
Sydney Branson is 39th at 10 over with rounds of 72 and 80 today, making three birdies. Branson posted the lowest round of her collegiate career, a 72, over the first 18 holes. She bested her low round of 74 from the fall by two strokes.
Kailey Lane is 58th after a two-round score of 14 over with rounds of 79 (RD 1) and 77 (RD 2). Lane made three birdies.
