LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Tennessee Tech Track & Field closed out the OVC Indoor Championships with an impressive Day 2 performance, highlighted by an individual conference champion, a relay title, multiple podium finishes, and the crowning of the OVC Freshman of the Year. 

"Just a great team-wide effort by the ladies. So proud of each and every performance we put out there. We certainly emptied the tank for Tech," said Head Coach Peter Dalton.  

Freshman standout Kennedi Winbush delivered one of the meet's signature performances, blazing a 7.51 to win the OVC 60m Championship and secure 10 points for Tech. Her dominant weekend continued with a 24.36 for 3rd in the 200m and 6 more points, earning her the title of OVC Freshman of the Year and capping her breakout indoor season. 

The Golden Eagles added major scoring in the 400-meter, with Hannah Little leading the way, running a time of 56.04 to finish 2nd, earning 8 points. Aliyah Kennedy followed with a 57.29 PR for 3rd, adding 6 points. 

Tech's distance squad delivered a strong showing. Rylee Wells ran a 3000m time of 10:05.63 to place 3rd, scoring 6 points. Makaleigh Jessee followed with a 10:06.17 PR, finishing 4th and adding 5 points.  

Chase Wolfenbarger delivered a career day in the pentathlon, finishing 7th with a 2,850‑point PR to score 2 points for Tech. Her performance included personal bests in the 800m (2:47.05), shot put (9.04m / 29'8"), and 60m hurdles (9.36). 

Tech closed the meet with a statement victory in the 4x400m relay, winning the conference crown with a time of 3:47.51. The lineup of Hannah Little, Kyla Joy, Aliyah Kennedy, and Paris Bowles delivered a wire‑to‑wire performance, with Bowles unleashing a full hawk down on the anchor leg to secure 10 points in the final event of the day.
