High School: Ward was a four-sport athlete at Macon County High School in Lafayette, Tenn., earning three letters in cross country for head coach Andy Davis, four letters in track & field for head coach Brandon Mahaney, three letters in soccer for head coaches Jeb Coe and Terrance Pryor, and three letters in basketball for head coach Larry White… was a three-time qualifier for the State Championships in cross country… named the cross country team MVP three times… named the track & field team's MVP for 2021… collected 2018 All-Mid-State Gold Team honors for cross country in 2018… picked up All-District 9 AA accolades for soccer in 2020 and was named the team's Co-MVP… selected to the 2021 Region 4AA All-Tournament Team and 2021 TSSAA Class AA State All-Tournament Team in basketball… helped lead the MCHS basketball team to the Region 4AA championship and the TSSAA Class AA State title as a senior, averaging 24.4 points and 6.2 rebounds per game… as a sophomore, was a member of the basketball team that captured District 8AA and Region 4AA titles, as well as an appearance in the TSSAA Class AA Final Four… helped lead the basketball team to a runner-up showing in the TSSAA Class AA State Championships game as a freshman.
