COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – There'll be some midweek action for the Tennessee Tech softball team on Wednesday afternoon as the Golden Eagles entertain North Alabama.

First pitch is slated for 4 p.m. Dylan Vazzano will have the call on ESPN+ (subscription required). Storms are in the forecast for Wednesday so the game is weather permitting. Updates will be available on TTUsports.com and on the team's social media channels.

The Lions enter the contest with a 25-10 record and a three-game winning streak in tow. UNA defeated Jacksonville 9-7, 9-6 and 13-5 in six innings to sweep the Dolphins in their past weekend action.

North Alabama can hit the ball well, posting a .326 batting average, collecting 197 RBI and scoring 224 times. Three Lions have collected 30 or more RBI on the season with Emma Broadfoot leading the team with 33, Georgia Land – who also has a team-high nine home runs – with 30 and Harley Stokes with 30.

UNA also likes to steal bases, swiping 44 of 47 tries so far this season. Lexie Harper is 13-for-15 on the paths, while Haven Kirby is a perfect 10-for-10.

Macy Birdyshaw leads the Lions in the circle with a 10-2 record in 18 appearances, posting a 3.06 ERA, while walking 21 and striking out 100. Opponents are hitting .237 against her. Sidney Revels (5-3, 4.17 ERA) has also seen a lot of time in the circle with 10 starts in 15 appearances.

As a team, UNA has a 3.73 ERA with opponents hitting .264.

The Golden Eagles (23-11, 6-5 OVC) dropped two of three at Austin Peay this past weekend and open up a seven-game homestand with the single game against the Lions on Wednesday, a three-game set against SIUE this weekend, then host Belmont next weekend.

Tech is batting .295 as a squad, collecting 178 RBI and crossing the plate 207 times. The team has also hit 35 home runs with nine players striking at least one out of the park, led by eight for Haeli Bryson and six for Abby Buettner.

Mackenzie Fitzgerald leads the team in batting with a .397 average, scoring 40 times and collecting 19 RBI. Bryson (.380) leads the team in RBI with 33. Nine Golden Eagles have picked up double-digit totals in RBI this season.

In the circle, Tech has a staff ERA of 3.11 with opponents hitting .263. Alyssa Arden (11-7, 3.31) has seen the most starts with 15, walking 27 and striking out 64 along the way. Tyler Erwin (8-1, 2.54 ERA) and Bryson (4-3, 2.98 ERA) have combined for 27 starts.
