COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Tech Athletics is extending an invitation to join them in the celebration of the retirement of Tech tennis head coach Kenny Doyle.
After 16 years guiding the Golden Eagles as the program's longest-tenured head coach, Doyle will be celebrated as part of a reception open to the public in the Eagles Nest on the fourth floor of the Hooper Eblen Center on Tuesday, Apr. 29.
The reception will begin at 3 p.m. CT and admission is free of charge.
Doyle will retire as the second-winningest coach in program history behind 156 career victories. His 86 conference wins are tops among the Tech coaching ranks, boasting an impressive 86-24 career league ledger for an eye-popping .782 winning percentage.
The six-time OVC Coach of the Year led the Golden Eagles to five OVC Tournament titles, seven conference regular-season championships and five NCAA Tournament appearances.
Under Doyle's direction, the purple and gold became the first OVC school since the 90s to claim a four-peat in the OVC Tournament, taking home the title in four-straight seasons from 2016-19.
