AT TECH --
In Fall 2010 (Sophomore): Arturo fell twice in doubles while teamed with Josh Girling at the season opener, UNCG Invitational...did not play the rest of the fall season due to a wrist injury, but will be back in action in the spring, anticipating a spot in the line-up.


In 2009-2010 (Freshman):
Arturo did not have a consistent position in the line-up in the spring season, but showed a lot of strength and promise when he did get to play...posted an overall singles record of 8-5 for the fall and spring season, playing the 5 and 6 positions for Tech. Among his wins he contributed to the teams success with an OVC singles record of 4-2. Arturo also showed his capabilites in doubles his first spring season capturing a 7-3 record with partner, Oscar Pachon. He went 3-2 in OVC doubles as well, where the team finished second overall. Winning the last six out of ten matches he played, he hopes to carry that success forward into next season....Arturo saw limited action in his first fall season with the Golden Eagles, posting a 1-1 record in singles play in his only appearances.

Before Tech:
Attended high school at Jontan School of Bogota, Colombia...played volleyball, ping pong and tennis...finished #1 in his class...competed in and won national tournaments, as well as na international tournament in Germany.

Personal: Son of Arturo Santa and and Nancy Ruize of Bogota, Colombia...born on December 22, 1990...major is mechanical engineering.
