COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech men's golf team will make the trip down I-40 to take part in Vanderbilt's Mason Rudolph Championship this weekend, taking place at the Vanderbilt Legends Club South Course from Friday, Apr. 13 through Sunday, Apr. 15.

Live Scoring

MASON RUDOLPH CHAMPIONSHIP: 54 holes (36 Friday, 18 Sunday), located at par-71, 7,100-yard Vanderbilt Legends Club South Course in Franklin, Tenn. Teams will kick off with an 8:00 a.m. CT shotgun start each day while playing on the River Course. Anticipated heavy rain in the area on Saturday led to the decision to play 36 holes on Friday. Should weather permit, teams will play another 18 holes on Saturday and make it a 72-hole event.

GOLDEN EAGLE LINEUP: Competing for the Golden Eagles are junior Matthew Giles, freshman Bracton Womack, freshman Will Brooks, senior Alexander Riddle and senior A.J. Wilkerson.

THE COMPETITION: The 14-team field consists of host Vanderbilt, as well as Alabama, Ball State, Charlotte, East Tennessee State, Florida, Georgia, High Point, Liberty, Louisville, Middle Tennessee, South Dakota, Tennessee Tech and Troy.

THOUGHTS FROM COACH BROWN: "We have an excellent opportunity to compete with some of the best teams in the country at the Mason Rudolph Championship. I am excited, and I know the guys are ready to compete. The guys have had a lot of time to prepare since our last event at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate, and we are looking forward to our last regular season event before the OVC Championships."

WHAT TO WATCH FOR: The Golden Eagles will take part in the Mason Rudolph Championship for the first time in program history after a three-week break from their last competition at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate. Tech placed sixth in Sevierville and is looking for some nice weather to set up for a strong weekend of play. Seniors Alexander Riddle and A.J. Wilkerson will take part in their final regular-season tournaments.
