In Spring 2013 (Sophomore): Whitehead played in all seven tournaments, finishing with 18 rounds of play… finished with three top 10 finishes in the spring, scoring his low-round of 67 as part of a 67+72+74=213 scorecard at the TSU Big Blue Intercollegiate (Apr. 15-16) to shoot -3 and tie for ninth out of 93 golfers… tied for fourth at the Grover Page Classic (Mar. 10-12) after shooting +3 with a 73+75+71=219… helped the Golden Eagles to a surprising third place finish at the Ohio Valley Conference Championship (April 25-27)… shot an impressive 70+72=142 to tie for eighth in the tournament… earned a share of the Impact Award with two teammates.

In Fall 2012 (Sophomore): Whitehead participated in five tournaments, racking up 15 rounds of golf for the Golden Eagles… carded a low-round of 70 in the third round of the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate (Oct. 22-23)… finished the tournament with a 74+76+70=220, tying for 17th out of 81 golfers.

Before Tech: Whitehead played at King College for one season before transferring to Tech… placed second in the Conference Carolinas North Greenville Fall Classic… won the 2012 Knoxville City Amateur. 

High School: Whitehead attended the Christian Academy of Knoxville, earning four letters in golf… awarded CAK's Most Valuable Player in 2009… placed second in the 2010 TSSAA Class A-AA Division 1 State Tournament and was also named to the All-State team the same year… helped claim back to back regional and state championships in 2009 and 2010 along with the district title in 2010.
