COOKEVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee Tech University Athletics has announced a change in leadership for its men's basketball program. After seven seasons at the helm, Head Coach John Pelphrey will not return for an eighth season.

"We thank John for his service and commitment to our men's basketball program. We felt it was the right time for a leadership change and a refocus for the men's basketball program. We wish John and his family the best moving forward," said Casey Fox, Director of Athletics at Tennessee Tech University.

Pelphrey compiled a 79–138 record during his seven seasons leading the Golden Eagles.

A comprehensive national search for the next head coach of the men's basketball program will begin immediately.

Tennessee Tech University Athletics will be working with CSA Search & Consulting on the search. CSA is a market leader in DI Men's Basketball searches, having led more than 35 DI Head Men's Basketball searches over the past 5 years.
