Tennessee Tech Baseball Weekend Preview  (3/5)

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech baseball team opens up Ohio Valley Conference action with a weekend series at SIUE starting Friday, Mar. 6. First pitch for the series opener is set for 3:00 p.m. CT while games two and three on Saturday and Sunday are slated for 1:00 p.m. starts.

All three games are scheduled to appear on ESPN+. 

The Golden Eagles enter play after falling to No. 29 Georgia Tech Tuesday evening by a final score of 11-2. The Yellow Jackets scored nine runs in a powerful sixth inning to create the separation in an otherwise close battle. SIUE dropped its midweek contest to Saint Louis Tuesday, falling 11-3 at home after holding a 3-1 lead in the third.

Last season, Tech claimed the series over SIUE after falling in the opener, 9-8. The Golden Eagles rallied for victories of 12-6 and 7-6 in a Sunday doubleheader to clinch their fourth-straight series win over the Cougars, dating back to the 2016 season.
