2019 (Junior): Dye made two starts and six total appearances before taking a medical redshirt after suffering a season-ending injury… finished his season with a 2-1 record and 3.80 ERA… racked up 33 strikeouts and just nine walks in 23.2 innings… allowed 10 earned runs and 19 hits for a .221 batting average against… completed a season-high 5.1 innings in his last appearance of the year at Austin Peay (Mar. 15)… earned the win after tossing 5.0 scoreless innings with eight strikeouts out of the bullpen against Youngstown State (Mar. 1)… also totaled eight punch outs with zero walks in 3.2 innings against SIUE (Mar. 8)… earned the win following 2.1 innings without a run allowed against Valparaiso (Mar. 12)… struck out five or more batters in five of his six appearances.

2018 (Sophomore): Dye started eight games and appeared in 10 total games before breaking his throwing arm in a start at Tennessee (Apr. 25)… completed the year 4-1 with a 4.95 ERA in 36.1 innings on the hill… earned his first career victory after tossing a season-high 6.1 innings against West Virginia (Mar. 14)… allowed just one run in the contest… fanned a season-high eight batters in 5.2 innings at Western Kentucky (Apr. 17), earning the win after allowing just one run… tossed 6.0 innings of scoreless ball at Kennesaw State (Apr. 4) for a win, holding the Owls to three hits… completed at least five innings four times… struck out three or more batters in four games… won three consecutive starts prior to his season-ending injury.

2017 (Freshman): Dye made four appearances and one start in his first season as a Golden Eagle… made his Tech debut out of the bullpen against Central Arkansas (Feb. 28)… tossed 2.0 inning without allowing an earned run in the contest… earned his first career start against Illinois State (Mar. 15)… struck out a season-high three batters in 2.0 innings at UNC Asheville (Mar. 21).

High School: Dye was a four-year letterwinner as a pitcher for head coach Wesley Shiver at Central Carroll High School… notched a remarkable 1.10 ERA as a senior after posting a 1.90 ERA as a junior… as a sophomore tallied a 2.80 ERA… kicked off his high school career with a freshman ERA of 2.60… earned the team’s Most Valuable Pitcher award as a sophomore, junior and senior… named All-Region First Team in both 2015 and 2016… honored as the All-County Pitcher of the Year as a junior and senior… took home 2015 Perfect Game Underclass Preseason All-American Honorable Mention honors and 2016 Perfect Game All-Southeast Region Honorable Mention honors.

Personal: Son of Phillip Dye and Tara Warren… born June 29, 1998… full name is Nicolas Blake Dye… father, Phillip, played baseball at Southern Union Community College for two years… sister, Bethany, was a cheerleader at Southern Union Community College for one year.

Academic: Majoring in interdisciplinary studies… named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll once.
