OXFORD, Ala. – Tennessee Tech fans traveling down to Choccolocco Park this week for the 2018 Ohio Valley Conference Baseball Championship will be able to take in a tailgate atmosphere at the games.
The Tennessee Tech tailgate tent will be set up outside the entrance to Choccolocco Park in Oxford and Golden Eagle fans will be able to enjoy complimentary food and beverages and hang out with their fellow fans before the game begins.
The 2018 OVC Baseball Championship begins tonight as No. 7-seeded Murray State takes on No. 8 Eastern Illinois in a single-elimination contest.
The action continues Wednesday as No. 4 Jacksonville State takes on No. 5 Austin Peay, No. 3 Morehead State takes on No. 6 Eastern Kentucky, and No. 2 Southeast Missouri facing the winner of Murray State/Eastern Illinois.
The Golden Eagles open their tourney title defense on Thursday as they take on the winner of Jacksonville State/Austin Peay at 11 a.m.
Tickets for the games are $25 for an all-session pass or $10 per day. College students with valid ID and children ages 6-12 are admitted for $5.
The tournament is scheduled through Saturday, with an if-necessary game slated for Sunday.
Live video for the tournament will be provided through the OVC Digital Network, while Dylan Vazzano will provide the call on radio on 106.1 The Eagle.
