Tennessee Tech Baseball Weekend Preview (3/15)
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech baseball team hits the road for a three-game Ohio Valley Conference series at SIUE this weekend, kicking things off with a 4:00 p.m. CT match-up at Simmons Complex in Edwardsville on Friday.
The second and third games of the series are both set for 1 p.m. first pitches on Saturday and Sunday. With rain and inclement weather a possibility in Edwardsville this weekend, fans are encouraged to check social media and the TTUSports.com website for updates concerning this weekend's schedule.
The Golden Eagle offense is off to a torrid pace in 2018, leading the nation in batting average (.362), home runs (40), home runs per game (2.50), on base percentage (.454), slugging percentage (.666), scoring (11.9), runs (191) and doubles per game (3.25). Tech also ranks second nationally in doubles (52).
