In 2011 (Freshman): Garrett took the hill 18
times during his freshman season, which included his only start
against Berea College where he earned his first career-win as he
threw seven innings…he struck out 18 batters and maintained
a 4.05 ERA…named to the OVC all-Freshman Team.
Ooltewah High School: Hailing from Ooltewah,
Tenn., Baugh batted .432 his senior year, chipping in with four
home runs, 14 doubles and one triple. He scored 32 runs and batted
in 28...on defense he was perfect on the mound with a 5-0 record in
five appearances...contributed 39 strikeouts and allowed only 12
hits, none of them resulting in an earned run...received honors on
the TSWA 1st team All-State, 2009 & 2010 Best of Preps teams,
2008 super sophomore team and 2009 TBCA All-Region
Team...individual awards include the 2010 Best of Preps Player of
the Year and 2006 Freshman MVP of his team.
