Allison Boshears has returned to the Tennessee Tech Athletics department, returning as a promotions and marketing coordinator after spending one year with the Tennessee Secretary of State's Office in the Division of Elections.

Boshears graduated from Tennessee Tech in May 2014, earning her bachelor's degree in communications. While at TTU, Boshears served as writer for the TTU Oracle, the student newspaper. She also founded and served as president for the Public Relations Club, where she also helped the growth of the local chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA).  As a member of Phi Mu Sorority, Boshears acted as the recruitment coordinator.

During her first two-year stint at Tech between 2014 and 2016, Boshears worked to help maintain and secure new sponsorship agreements.  She will also coordinate efforts to increase the corporate sales program, including arena and stadium signage, program advertising, game and website sponsorships, as well as special event sponsorship opportunities.

The Oak Ridge, Tenn., native has worked in the public relations field as she served as an intern for M Public Relations in Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., representing nine different businesses, and helping control the social media for them. She worked for Bluewater Pirates out of Knoxville as a public relations advisor. She collaborated with business owners on publications, branding public relation plans and overall business planning.

Boshears, daughter of Cindy and Garvon Boshears, currently resides in Cookeville with her toy poodle, Lil Wayne.
