Golden Eagles get 150 on OVC Commissioner's Honor Roll

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – The Ohio Valley Conference continued its annual recognition of academic success as the league announced its OVC Commissioner's Honor Roll on Monday.

Tennessee Tech received 150 honorees on the list for the 2024-25 academic year among the overall list, which included a record 1,792 student-athletes – breaking the previous mark of 1,718 during the 2020-21 academic year. That total also included 89 student-athletes who compete in non-OVC championship sports that do not compete in another conference.

The Tech honorees included:

To be listed, honorees must have achieved at least a 3.25 grade point average, have been eligible and on the team throughout the competitive season in their chosen NCAA-sponsored sport(s) and used a season of competition.

Over the past 10 years, the OVC has honored over 14,800 student-athletes on the Commissioner's Honor Roll.

Last Friday, the OVC announced 349 winners of the OVC Academic Medal of Honor with perfect 4.0 grade point averages last academic year, including 34 to Tech student-athletes. The conference will announce the winner of the Academic Achievement Award and Team Academic Achievement Awards on Tuesday.
