Pam Chambers-Compton, an explosive point guard, was named the OVC Player of the Year in 1979, the same season she was selected to play for the National team. She was a two-time All-OVC pick as a junior and senior and helped Tech post a 10-10 regular season mark and league championship in 1978. A three-time team captain, she was named to the All-Time All-OVC team in 1988. Her jersey (21) is one of just seven retired in the women's program.
