L.C. Stubblefield earned four letters each in football and baseball. In 1941 he was presented with the Athletic Medal and was chosen as captain of the football team. He was also co-captain of the 1941 and 1942 baseball teams. During the 1970s, he spearheaded Tech's season ticket sales drives and had two daughters graduate from his alma mater.
