  • Leaders for Life
In 2006, Dr. M. Dianne Murphy, former Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and Physical Education at Columbia University, established the Dr. M. Dianne Murphy Female Student-Athlete Leaders for Life Program at Tennessee Tech. The program is designed to provide mentoring and networking opportunities for female student-athletes at Tennessee Tech with successful female role models. The Leaders for Life Program features keynote addresses by women in the sports industry and women in leadership positions, as well as social networking opportunities.
  • Golden Wings Awards
The Golden Wings Awards, which enters its eighth year, is an end-of-the-year award ceremony for the Tennessee Tech University student-athletes to honor and celebrate their academic and athletic accomplishments over the past complete seasons. The timeframe of the awards period is the current season (2022-23 in this instance) except for sports that compete in the spring, including baseball, softball, outdoor track & field, men's golf, women's golf, beach volleyball, and tennis. With those sports competing with a large portion of their seasons or the league championship still left on the schedule, the previous campaigns (2021-22 in this instance) are recognized. With last year’s honors including the 2021-22 golf season (since both had finished before the award’s show), the men’s and women’s golf teams will only be eligible for Golden Eagle Awards and Man and Woman of the Year awards, which encompass the 2022-23 period for all sports.
  • Pepsi Bobby Nichols / Golden Eagle Scramble presented by Michelob Ultra
One of the longest-running traditions in Tennessee Tech Athletics, the Pepsi Bobby Nichols / Golden Eagle Scramble presented by Budweiser serves as the department's annual fundraising event.
  • Wings Up Caravans
What exactly are the Wings Up Caravans? Each summer, Tech Athletics hits the road to spread excitement and information for the upcoming seasons for all 14 of the department's programs, making several stops all over the region. In 2018, the Wings Up Caravans will visit 10 different locations. The events span the months of July and August this season.
