Tech Tuff Caravans: Thank you Dogwood Park and Putnam County

The TTU Athletics Caravans have evolved over time to become one of the most popular summer traditions enjoyed by Golden Eagle fans across the region. Donning several different monikers over the years, typically to represent the theme of the Athletics Department, the 2016 edition has been labeled as the Tech Tuff Caravans.

What exactly are the Tech Tuff Caravans? Each summer, Tech Athletics hits the road to spread excitement and information for the upcoming seasons for all 14 of the department's programs, making several stops all over the region. In 2016, the Tech Tuff Caravans will visit 12 different locations, including, for the first time ever, the Dogwood Park Amphitheater in Cookeville. The events span the months of July and August, and even creep into September this season.

Sponsored by 98.5 KISS FM, Pepsi, and TTUsports.com, the Tech Tuff Caravans offer more than just information on Tech athletics, but rather an exhilarating, tailgate atmosphere complete with free hot dogs and soft drinks. Each event is free of charge and open to the public, offering the chance for the newest fan to oldest diehard to meet and interact with several Tennessee Tech coaching staffs, student-athletes, cheerleaders, and even Awesome Eagle! The complete 2016 Tech Tuff Caravan schedule can be found below.

Each event runs approximately 98 minutes and features registration for a grand prize that includes a TTU Pride Package and two tickets to this season's football game at the University of Tennessee on Nov. 5. The grand prize registration will be done by 98.5 KISS FM (the home of Golden Eagle football broadcasts) at each stop and the winner will be announced at Tucker Stadium at the Golden Eagle football team's home opener against Wofford

Note: No winner will be selected below the age of 18. Winner may not be a high school student-athlete or immediate family member of an athlete without jeopardizing collegiate eligibility at an NCAA institution. Complete rules for the contest can be found at the Kissfm985.com website. For additional information on the caravans or to purchase season tickets for the upcoming football season, call (931) 372-3940.
