Tech baseball team volunteers at Prescott South Middle School Mega Sports Day

The Tennessee Tech baseball team was active in the community once again over the weekend, volunteering the Prescott South Middle School Mega Sports Day.

Tennessee Tech student-athletes take pride in their community, and Saturday was a good example. Members of several Golden Eagle teams were on hand at the 17th annual Cookeville Fall FunFest, handing out schedules and stickers, and playing games with kids -- and a few adults, too.

Known throughout the city of Cookeville for its helpful ways, the Tennessee Tech soccer team continued its long-standing tradition of community service by volunteering at the sixth annual After Dark - Race for the Park 8K and Kids for the Park 1 Mile Fun Run.
 
Football team keeping busy with Habitat for Humanity project

Just days after lending helping hands at a local youth home, about 50 members of the Tennessee Tech football team logged another day of community service work, helping out Wednesday with a Habitat for Humanity home remodeling project.
 
From fenceposts to painting, Tech football players help at Mustard Seed Ranch

About 40 members of the Tennessee Tech football team spent most of Saturday helping out at the Mustard Seed Ranch, just outside of Cookeville, doing a variety of projects to assist the youth home.
 
Men's basketball team helps out at local food bank

The men's basketball team is back to its helping ways as several members of the Golden Eagle squad assisted at the United Methodist Church God's Grace Food Pantry Friday morning.
