COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Tech men's and women's cross
country teams will be in Nashville Saturday morning to compete in
Vanderbilt's annual Commodore Classic. The races will be held at
Percy Warner Park.
The men's 8K race starts at 9 a.m. on Saturday with the women's 5K
race set for 10 a.m.
The Golden Eagles opened the 2013 season two weeks ago at the
Western Carolina Invitatinal, with the women placing eighth. The
team's veterans led the way, paced by senior Rebecca Cline in 29th
place overall. She was followed by Meghan O'Donoghue in 49th, Yeshi
Dohrman 55th, Peri Winborne 62nd and Amelia McCoy in 68th
place.
The Golden Eagle men's team placed sixth at WCU, with senior John
Greene leading the way with a 29th place finish overall. He was
followed by junior Sterling Sharp in 36th place, followed by three
freshmen. Brennan Huber placed 43rd in his Golden Eagle debut, with
Daniel Williamson 54th place and Jordan Roth in the 58th position.
Senior Matt Bishop wound up 61st overall ifollowed by freshman Sam
Lariviere in 66th place.
