One of several seniors expected to provide leadership to the cross country and track & field teams in 2013-14...a true distance runner who will have an impact in several events during the spring.

AT TECH (In 2013-14): Amelia was a consistent contributor during her senior season of cross country, running in all six meets...was team's third finisher in both the Vanderbilt and UNC Charlotte meets...posted her 5K career-best of 19:55.16 at the Jacksonville State meet, finishing fourth on the team, beating her previous career-best by just under a second.

(In 2012-13): Amelia was on the course in all seven cross country meets as a junior, with a best finish of fourth on the squad in the Huntsville meet to open the year...season-best time of 20:40.6 came at the OVC Championships...ran the mile, 3,000m and 5,000m events indoors and raced in the 3,000m, 5,000m, and 10,000m events outdoors...posted career-best times in five of her six events...ran her best indoor mile of 6:08.61 at Virginia Tech...career-best of 11:56.97 came at the OVC Championships...also had a best at OVC in the 5,000m of 21:01.73...outdoors, she had a career-besst of 19:37.42 at Vanderbilt in the 5,000m and ran a career-best 42:51.88 at the OVC 10,000m run.

(In 2011-12): Amelia ran in all seven cross country meets in 2011, finishing as high as third on the team..ran a personal best 5K time of 19:56 at Jacksonville State and was Tech's third finisher...lowered her time in each of her first four meets...was Tech's fifth finisher at the NCAA South Regional with a 6K time of 25:11.

(In 2010-11): Amelia ran in all seven meets the Golden Eagles participated in during the fall cross country season...ran several really strong meets...placed second on the squad in the opening meet at Sewanee and closed the season by placing second at the NCAA South Regionals...set her career-best time of 20:09.29 at Evansville...competed in the 3000m, 5000m, and 10,000m in track and field...posted a season-best time of 11:39 in the 3000m at Vanderbilt.

HIGH SCHOOL: Amelia competed in her prep career at Cumberland County High School in nearby Crossville...lettered four seasons in cross country and three seasons in track for coaches Pat Koehl and Louie DeLorenzo...named MVP for the Jets' cross-country squad all four years, and also named MVP of the track team, all section, in her freshman through junior seasons...also an achiever in the classroom.
