Beth was a member of the 2010 Golden Eagle softball team before deciding to compete in cross country and track...brings a winning attitude of perseverance and hard work into competition...also a strong achiever in academics.

AT TECH (In 2011-12): Ran in six of seven cross country meets for Tech in 2011, posting consistent 5K times in the 20s through most of the season...ran a season-best 20:01 at Jacksonville State...notched her best finish amongst her teammates in the first meet of the year at Sewanee, where she ran a 25:11 6K and was the third Golden Eagle to finish...was Tech's fourth finisher at the OVC Championships (20:21) and the NCAA South Regional (6K time of 25:10).

(In 2010-11): The fall season brought Beth's debut, as she did not participate on a cross country squad prior to this season...showed steady improvement throughout the season...after placing sixth on the team in the opening meet at Sewanee, she improved each meet to place third at Evansville with her career-best time of 20:00.80...placed fourth on the team at the OVC Championships...ran the 3000 meter, 5000 meter and 10,000 meter and competed in the javelin during track season...ran her best 3000 time of 11:18 at Tennessee State in outdoor season and posted a season-best 19:53 in the 5000 at the OVC Outdoor Championships.

HIGH SCHOOL: Beth was a two-sport letter winner at Watertown High School and no longer plays either sport...lettered three seasons in softball as a pitcher and outfielder for coach Patty Jansen...also lettered three seasons in volleyball as a defensive specialist for coach Travis Hall...stellar in the classroom and won numerous academic awards...earned the WIAA Scholar Athlete award and the WHS Academic Excellence Award...graduated as the salutatorian of her class.

PERSONAL: The daughter of Doug and Kathy Miller...full name is Elizabeth Miller...birthdate is August 26, 1991...majoring in food, nutrition and dietetics.
