COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- On the heels of her third OVC Runner of the
Week honor, senior Stephanie Place will lead the Tennessee Tech
cross country teams into action Saturday at the Furman
Invitational. The meet, which will be held on the Furman Golf
Course on campus, will feature a large field of teams -- 18 men's
teams will run in the 8K event beginning at 10:30 a.m. CDT, while
the starting line for the women's race will include 19 teams. The
starting gun is scheduled to sound at 11 a.m.
Tennessee Tech's cross country teams will return to action
Friday.
Among the top schools joining Furman and Tennessee Tech will be
College of Charleston, Marshall, Samford, North Florida and
Wofford.
