Tennessee Tech falls to OVC-leading Morehead State

MOREHEAD, Ky. --- The Tennessee Tech volleyball team did not get the result it wanted as it took the 3-0 loss to Ohio Valley Conference rival Morehead State Friday.

The Golden Eagles managed to keep things close early on in the opening frame, as both teams were tied at 13. MSU eventually pulled away from TTU using a 12-4 run to take the set 25-17.

Morehead State took the next two sets 25-9 and 25-14 to complete the sweep and improve to 8-0 in OVC play.

Freshman Ellen Conti tallied a team-high six kills, while junior Madison Comperry dished out 11 assists.

Morehead State notched 16 services aces during the match including five from both Aryn Bohannon and Leslie Schellhaas. Caitlin Clark tallied a match-high 31 assists.

The Golden Eagles (2-16, 1-7 OVC) wrap up their road trip Saturday against Eastern Kentucky at 1 p.m.
