COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech volleyball team (5-14, 3-5 OVC) wrapped up its recent four-match road trip with a 2-2 record and will look to improve upon what it accomplished on the road when it opens a three-match homestand beginning with the Gamecocks of Jacksonville State, Friday evening.
"It feels like we have played everyone on the road so far,"
head coach John Blair said. "It will be nice to be back at home for
an extended time."
The Golden Eagles have one match to prepare for this week,
with Friday's visit by Jacksonville State. The Gamecocks currently
own an 11-8 record and are 6-2 in OVC play, which places them in
second place in the conference.
Over their last three seasons, Tech is 3-3 against JSU, with
four of the matches being decided in the fifth set. All-time the
Golden Eagles are 5-10 against the Gamecocks.
The opening serve is set for Friday, at 7 p.m.
"It will be a tough match against Jacksonville State," Blair
said. "They are well coached and the team is very athletic."
