Tennessee Tech volleyball hosts “Dig Pink” event for breast cancer awareness

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – As part of the Dig Pink National Breast Cancer Awareness Rally, the Tennessee Tech volleyball team will join thousands of other high school and college teams from around the country Friday in raising money for breast cancer research.

Tech hosts Jacksonville State at 7 p.m. in Eblen Center for an Ohio Valley Conference match. Admission is free.
 
Several groups will be in attendance Friday, including members of the Susan G. Koman Organization, as well as representatives from Cookeville community and the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. These groups will be on hand to provide information about breast cancer and will accept donations to help find a cure
 
As part of the Dig Pink promotion, TTU volleyball players will be wearing pink warm-ups and freshman libero Allison May will sport a pink game jersey. Fans are invited to join in by wearing pink in support of breast cancer awareness.
