COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Due to the threat of inclement weather expected in the Cookeville area, Sunday night's Tennessee Tech soccer match against the University of Tennessee has been cancelled. The contest was set to begin at 6 p.m. CT and no current plans for a rescheduled affair with the Volunteers are in place for this season.
The cancellation officially puts a lid on Tech's non-conference slate following Friday night's 2-1 overtime victory over Troy. The Golden Eagles head into OVC action with a 4-3 record.
Tech's next match will see the Golden Eagles host Jacksonville State on Friday, Sept. 14 in the club's conference opener. First kick from Tech Soccer Field is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT.
