In 2009 (Junior): Michelle played in all 22 contests for the Golden Eagles, and was a key reserve player off the bench for the women's squad. Ranked third on the team in shots, and posted an impressive .400 shots-on-goal percentage.
IN 2008 (Sophomore): Decker was second on the
team in shots, with 23, and scored one goal and recorded one assist
in the 2008 season, as Tech went 1-0-1 in games in which she
recorded a point. She started 18 games, and saw action in all 20 of
Tech’s games in 2008. Of her 23 shots, had nine on goal,
which ranked second on the team.
IN 2007 (Freshman): Despite injury, Michelle saw
action in 15 games, including nine starts. She recorded a goal and
an assist, and finished the season with 12 shots, six on goal.
HIGH SCHOOL: Michelle earned two letters in
soccer at Preston High School for coach Balcomb and one volleyball
letter for coach Jones…she was named Junior Athlete of the
Year in 2003 as well as the MVP and the Coach’s Award for
soccer.
CLUB EXPERIENCE: Decker spent one year with the
Erin Mills Eagles and then 2 years with London Forest United.
PERSONAL: The daughter of Allen and Sylvia
Decker…majoring in exercise science and physical wellness
with a concentration in geography…born March 29, 1989 in
Kitchener, Ontario…full name is Michelle Jessica Decker.
