SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech women's golf completed round two while hosting the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate at Sevierville Golf Club in Sevierville, Tenn. Monday afternoon.
The Golden Eagles finished the day 14th among the 15 teams in competition, posting a 332 to total 658 through the first two of three rounds of play. Austin Peay kept its lead intact, producing a 294 for a 587 overall. North Alabama's Jacqueline Klemm finished the day leading all individuals with a 2-under 140.
Leading the Cookeville crew was senior Elisabeth Toennessen, wrapping up the second round of action tied for 25th. The veteran racked up four birdies on her way to a 76 and two-round total of 154.
Just two shots back, her twin sister Katrine Toennessen tied for 33rd overall while competing as an individual, putting forth a 78 with two birdies for a score of 156. Next on the leaderboard for the Golden Eagles was Ainsley Simms, carding an 83 to tie for 39th with a 158.
Senior Gittle Sciolis earned one birdie on her way to an 84 to tie for 54th with a 163 while competing as an individual. Tying for 73rd with a 173 behind a round of 88 was Sydney Branson, who notched a birdie as an individual.
Also tying for 73rd was Makenzie Morton, totaling her 173 following a second round of 87. Reagan Stuke finished one shot back with a 174, turning in an 86 to tie for 75th. Rounding out Tech's participants was Kaydi Rhodes, who finished 78th with an 88 and two-day composite of 175.
Tech will kick off Tuesday's final round with a shotgun start beginning at 8:00 a.m. CT.
