COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech women's golf team puts a wrap on the 2019-20 fall season with a trip to Nashville for the 3rd Annual Town and Country Invitational. Hosted by in-state and Ohio Valley Conference rival Tennessee State at McCabe Golf Course, Tech will look to build momentum heading into the winter break.

TOWN AND COUNTRY INVITATIONAL: Oct. 28-29, 2019 – 36 holes (18 Monday, 18 Tuesday), located at the par-70, 5,814-yard McCabe Golf Course in Nashville, Tenn. Teams will begin each day with tee times starting at 8:30 a.m. CT. Tech will tee off Monday morning at 8:40 a.m.

GOLDEN EAGLE LINEUP: Competing for the Golden Eagles are sophomore Heidi Lawson, junior Hannah Bratton, freshman Katrine Toennessen, freshman Gittle Sciolis and freshman Elisabeth Toennessen. Competing as an individual is senior Arianna Clemmer.

THE COMPETITION: The eight-team field consists of host Tennessee State, as well as, Austin Peay, Belmont, Cumberland, Lipscomb, Morehead State, Tennessee Tech and Troy.

THOUGHTS FROM ASSISTANT COACH AMANDA SMITH: "The ladies are excited to return to Tennessee State's Town and Country Invitational because of its different format. The team will be teeing off all together in one group, playing five and counting four. This is an opportune time for the team to play with and for each other. It's also great that our senior, Arianna Clemmer, has had experience on this course and will be traveling as well to compete. The team is looking to finish off the fall on a solid note."

WHAT TO WATCH FOR: The 3rd Annual Town and Country Invitational features a unique twist to its format. In this event, teams will be playing together as a team, in fivesomes. Typically, three teams play together in five groups of three. This presents a rare opportunity for the Golden Eagles to compete with each other outside of a practice setting.
