COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech women's golf team will put a close to its fall season, making the short drive down I-40 to Nashville for the 2nd Annual Town and Country Invitational hosted by Ohio Valley Conference rival Tennessee State Monday and Tuesday.

TOWN AND COUNTRY INVITATIONAL: Oct. 29-30, 2018 – 54 holes (18 Monday, 18 Tuesday), located at the par-70, 5,814-yard McCabe Golf Course in Nashville, Tenn. Teams will begin each day with tee times starting at 9:30 a.m. CT.

GOLDEN EAGLE LINEUP: Competing for the Golden Eagles are senior Lindsay Miller, sophomore Kate Mashburn, junior Shelby Johnson, sophomore Hannah Bratton and junior Arianna Clemmer. Participating as individuals for Tech are freshman Heidi Lawson and sophomore Isabel York.

THE COMPETITION: The seven-team field consists of host Tennessee State, as well as Austin Peay, Belmont, Cumberland, Freed-Hardeman, Lipscomb and Tennessee Tech. Individuals from Fisk will also participate.

THOUGHTS FROM COACH BROWN: "This will be our last event of the fall. The ladies are coming into this event with some good momentum from ULM. McCabe presents a good opportunity for us to shoot some solid scores, both team-wise and individually, to end the semester. We are very excited to compete in the event."

WHAT TO WATCH FOR: The 2nd Annual Town and Country Invitational features a unique twist to its format. In this event, teams will be playing together as a team, in fivesomes. Typically, three teams play together in five groups of three. This presents a rare opportunity for the Golden Eagles to compete with each other outside of a practice setting.
