COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech women's golf team returns to action Monday, traveling south for the Fred Marx Invitational hosted by ULM at Bayou Desiard Country Club in Monroe, La.

FRED MARX INVITATIONAL: Oct. 15-16, 2018 – 54 holes (36 Monday, 18 Tuesday), located at the par-72, 5,920-yard Bayou Desiard Country Club in Monroe, La. Teams will kick off with an 8:15 a.m. CT shotgun start on Monday.

GOLDEN EAGLE LINEUP: Competing for the Golden Eagles are senior Lindsay Miller, junior Shelby Johnson, junior Arianna Clemmer, freshman Heidi Lawson and sophomore Kate Mashburn.

THE COMPETITION: The nine-team field consists of host ULM, as well as Austin Peay, Lamar, Lipscomb, Murray State, North Alabama, Prairie View A&M, South Alabama and Tennessee Tech.

THOUGHTS FROM COACH BROWN: "The ladies enjoyed a solid week of work heading into the week and are ready to build off that with some low scores. This is our first trip to Louisiana in my time here. The new event should offer an exciting challenge and I know they are ready for it."

WHAT TO WATCH FOR: Tech will make its first-ever trip to the Bayou, visiting ULM's two-day event with some familiar competition in the mix. The Golden Eagles will square off against Ohio Valley Conference foes Murray State and Austin Peay, as well as in-state rival Lipscomb, providing some key experience for the OVC Championships in the spring.
