COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech women's golf team is back in action Monday morning, heading east for the Starmount Fall Classic hosted by UNCG in Greensboro, N.C.

STARMOUNT FALL CLASSIC: Oct. 1-2, 2018 – 54 holes (36 Monday, 18 Tuesday), located at the par-72, 6,186-yard Starmount Forest Country Club in Greensboro, N.C. Teams will kick off with an 7:30 a.m. CT shotgun start each day.

GOLDEN EAGLE LINEUP: Competing for the Golden Eagles are senior Lindsay Miller, freshman Heidi Lawson, junior Shelby Johnson, sophomore Hannah Bratton and junior Arianna Clemmer.

THE COMPETITION: The 15-team field consists of host UNCG, as well as Appalachian State, Elon, High Point, Longwood, North Carolina A&T, Tennessee, Tennessee Tech, Towson, Troy, UAB, Western Carolina, William & Mary, Winthrop and Wofford.

THOUGHTS FROM COACH BROWN: "We're always excited to return to a site in which we have won a tournament. Two years ago, both Lindsay and Shelby contributed to that win, so to have them both in the lineup with prior experience at this course is a great advantage. I know the ladies are ready to get out there and compete."

WHAT TO WATCH FOR: Tech did indeed claim the 2016 tournament title at the Starmount Fall Classic, firing a 913 (306-297-310) to edge out 10 other teams. Current senior Hollee Sadler (out due to injury) took home individual medalist honors in the event, earning first place behind a 219 (74-72-73). Last year, Arianna Clemmer led the Golden Eagles at the event, tying for 15th overall.
