Golden Eagles wrap up Edwin Watts / Kiawah Island Spring Classic ranked 34th

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – The Tennessee Tech women's golf team wrapped up play at the Edwin Watts / Kiawah Island Spring Classic Tuesday afternoon, placing 34th among the 43-team field.

The Golden Eagles tallied a third-round 320 to finish with a 939 overall in the event after concluding play on the Oak Point Course of the Kiawah Island Golf Resort.

Senior Allyson Dunn led the Golden Eagles for the tournament, tying for 70th among the 218 participants after carding a 77-69-82=228. The veteran tied for second among the entire tournament field with 12 total birdies over 54 holes. The 228 marked a season-low for Dunn as well.

Tying for 137th and finishing next among the Tech starters was junior Lindsay Miller, posted her second straight round of 78 to close out play. Combined with her 78s, Miller's first-round 80 provided a total of 236.

Sophomore Shelby Johnson completed play with rounds of 74, 83, and 82 for a 239 in three rounds, tying for 147th. Junior Hollee Sadler finished in a tied for 158th after trimming two strokes off her back-to-back rounds of 81, posting a third-round 79. Her total for the event was 241.

Rounding out Tech's participants was sophomore Arianna Clemmer, who posted a 244 with rounds of 84, 79 and 81. She tied for 174th overall.

The Golden Eagles will return to play Sunday, Mar. 18, playing host to the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate at Sevierville Golf Club in Seiverville, Tenn.
