Tech women's golf team concludes Bill Berg Invitational with top-10 finish

HAYESVILLE, N.C. – The Tennessee Tech women's golf team finished play at Western Carolina's Bill Berg Invitational Tuesday afternoon, finishing the third and final round at The Ridges Country Club with a score of 320.

Combining with first-day totals of 307 and 319, the Golden Eagles wrapped up the event with a composite score of 946 to finish 10th among the 15 participating teams.

Leading the way for the event for the Golden Eagles was sophomore Shelby Johnson, who carded a final-round 80 for a 236 overall. She tied for 28th in the field of 81 golfers.

Fellow sophomore Arianna Clemmer was next among Tech's finishers, posting an 81 in the third round to combine with day-one totals of 75 and 81 for a 237. She tied for 35th overall with teammate Hollee Sadler, who carded a 77-83-77=237 for the two-day event.

Senior Allyson Dunn finished play with a 75-75-82=242 to tie for 48th while junior Lindsay Miller wrapped up the week with an 82-80-82=244 to tie for 51st.

The Golden Eagles will return to action Monday, Oct. 23, wrapping up the fall slate with the two-day Terrier Intercollegiate at the Country Club of Spartanburg in Spartanburg, S.C.
