Women's Golf

Spring 2017 (Junior): Dunn competed in all five spring events, tallying 15 rounds of play… matched her career-low and tied the program’s fifth-lowest 54-hole score with a 220 at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate (Mar. 19-21)… recorded the second-lowest round in program history with a 4-under 68 in the third round of the same event, finishing in a tie for second overall for an All-Tournament honor… followed up the performance with a fourth-place showing and second straight All-Tournament nod at the EKU Colonel Classic (Mar. 31-Apr. 1)… posted a 71-72-81=224 at the event… took home team MVP honors, as well as the team’s Best Putter, Long Hitter and Low Average awards… garnered All-OVC honors… finished with a team-best scoring average of 76.57, the third-lowest in program history, to rank in the top-10 in the OVC.

Fall 2016 (Junior): Dunn participated in all five of Tech’s five fall events, completing 15 rounds of action… posted a fall-best 75-72-74=221 at the Chris Banister Fall Classic (Sept. 25-27)… captured All-Tournament honors at the same event, tying for third place overall… helped lead Tech to a team title at the Starmount Forest Fall Classic (Oct. 3-4), the team’s first since 2013… tied for 11^th at the event with a 74-78-80=232… completed the fall with a 77.40 scoring average, third-lowest on the team.

Spring 2016 (Sophomore): Dunn played in each of the team’s five spring tournaments, finishing 15 rounds of play… matched her career-low round and second-lowest round in program history with a 69 in the final round of the OVC Championship (Apr. 18-20)… posted three top-five finishes including a second-place showing at the EKU Colonel Classic (Apr. 1-2) and a tie for second place at the OVC Championship… took home All-Tournament nods at each of the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate (Apr. 20-22), EKU Colonel Classic and OVC Championship… set a career-low 54-hole final with a 76-74-70=220 at the EKU Colonel Classic… helped the Golden Eagles to their second-lowest score in program history, a 906 and second-place showing at the OVC Championship… named team MVP and also took home the team’s Best Putter and Long Hitter Awards… earned a share of the team’s Impact Award with freshman Hollee Sadler… concluded the year with a team-best scoring average of 76.77, which also ranked in the top-10 in the OVC.

Fall 2015 (Sophomore): Dunn competed in all six fall events, totaling 15 rounds of action… recorded the second-lowest single round score in program history with a 69 in the second round of the Murray State Invitational (Sept. 14-15)… finished a season-best tied for fourth and took home her first career All-Tournament honors at the event after tallying an overall score of 81-69=150… posted a season-low 226 at the GolfWeek Program Challenge (Sept. 6-8) and again at The Fall Invitational (Oct. 5-6)… helped break the program’s 18-hole scoring record with a team score of 290 in the first round of The Fall Invitational… also helped shatter the 54-hole scoring mark with a final team total of 888 at The Fall Invitational… gathered a top-10 finish at the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate (Oct. 12-13), finishing with a 75-79=155 overall… ended the fall with a 76.20 scoring average, ranking second on the team.

Spring 2015 (Freshman – East Tennessee State): Dunn participated in each of the team’s five events, completing 15 rounds of play… tied for 37^th overall with an 82-80-76=238 at the Southern Conference Championships (Apr. 12-14)… tied her season-low single-round score of 74 at the 3M Jaguar Intercollegiate (Mar. 13-15)… concluded her freshman campaign with a 78.9 scoring mark.

Fall 2014 (Freshman – East Tennessee State): Dunn competed in all four fall events as a true freshman, totaling 12 rounds of play… posted a season-low 76-74-79=229 at the Palmetto Intercollegiate (Oct. 26-28), tying for 39^th individually… collected her single-round low of the year twice in the fall, once at the Palmetto Intercollegiate and once at the Mercedes-Benz Intercollegiate (Oct. 17-19)… wrapped up the fall with a scoring average of 78.58.

High School: Dunn was a perfect 4.0 student at Sullivan South High School, lettering for four years as a starter on the varsity women’s golf team… took home All-Conference honors each season, capturing two individual conference championships and earning All-State accolades three times… as a senior, captured the Big 8 Conference title after firing off a school-record 68… tabbed All-District three times, All-Region three times and earned Big 8 Conference Player of the Year twice… led SSHS to TSSAA DT A/AA state title in 2013 and third-place finishes in 2011 and 2012… finished in the top-six individually at the state tournament three times… placed fourth at the Tennessee Girls Junior Amateur in 2014, firing the only sub-par score of the event with a 70 in the third round… earned a second-place finish at the same event one year earlier… was the 2013 low junior medalist in the Tennessee Women’s Amateur… placed second in the Jim Walling Memorial State Invitational... in 2013, won the AJGA Qualifier and earned a Top 4 finish in the AJFA Huntsville Junior tournament.

Personal: Daughter of Marc and Marty… born June 25, 1996… full name is Allyson Makenzie Dunn… captured the 83^rd Tennessee Women’s Amateur Championship in the summer of 2015.

Academic: Majoring in biology with a concentration in cellular and molecular biology… named to the Dean’s List both semesters at ETSU… part of the Alpha Lambda Delta National Academic Honor Society and the Sigma Alpha Pi National Society of Leadership and Success… named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll four times and the OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll twice… OVC Medal of Honor recipient for 2016-17… recognized as a WGCA All-American Scholar for 2015-16 and 2016-17.
