LEDBETTER, Ky. – It didn't take long for the Tennessee Tech women's golf team to see a record fall this season, as sophomore Whitney Robertson took home All-Tournament honors at the Jan Weaver-Murray State Invitational Tuesday afternoon.

Robertson, who hails from Clarksville, Tenn., completed an impressive 54-hole round with a 76 on the final day of the tournament, finishing the event in fifth place with a final scorecard of 74-72-76=222. Her score marked the lowest three-round total in program history, edging out teammate Maddi Evert's 223 at the MTSU Blue Raider Invitational last fall.

Speaking of Maddi Everts, the junior also put together a great tournament, finishing in a tie for ninth overall after wrapping up the two days with a 76-74-76=226. Her 54-hole score marked the sixth lowest in Tech history and second lowest in her career.

The two helped lead the Golden Eagles to a seventh place showing at the tournament, beating out Ohio Valley Conference foes Austin Peay, SIUE, and Tennessee State as well as in-state rival Lipscomb. Tech fired a 316 on day three to finish with a 928 overall.

Showing consistent play throughout the event, junior Megan Williamson grabbed a 79 in round three. She concluded play with an overall card of 237 after putting up 80 and 78 in the first two rounds, leading to a 38th place finish.

Sophomore Lydia Triplett tied for 46th after adding 79-79-85=243 to the scoring mix for the Golden Eagles. Cookeville native and redshirt freshman Anna Cunningham saw her first round score from Monday disqualified after an inadvertent scorecard violation. She collected an 85 to wrap up her final round of her first collegiate event.

The Golden Eagles won't get much time to dwell on their first event of the year as the team will now prepare for the Cardinal Cup at the University of Louisville next Monday, Sept. 15.
