RICHMOND, Ky. - Improved scores led to a two-spot jump for the Tennessee Tech women's golf team Saturday afternoon, as the Golden Eagles shot a 315 as a team to finish 10th at Eastern Kentucky's Colonel Classic.

The Golden Eagles were once again led by freshman Whitney Robertson who carded a team-low 75 on the day, propelling her to a tie for 12th place overall. She finished the event with a 157 to help the Tech squad jump two spots in the final rankings.

Just like the first round, sophomore Megan Williamson was right on Robertson's heels, finishing just one stroke behind her teammate with a 76. Williamson totaled 159 for the weekend, tying for 18th.

Sophomores Maddi Everts and Allison Geer shot 78 and 87, respectively. Everts tied for 34th with a 162 while Geer finished with a 176. Freshman Lydia Triplett tallied an 86, carding an overall 175 to finish the scoring for the Golden Eagles.

Competing as an individual, freshman Haley Davidson finished the day with an 86, wrapping up play for the tournament with a 175.

The Golden Eagles will return to the links on Sunday, Apr. 13 for a one-day match hosted by Morehead State.
