Women's Basketball

Aaron Sternecker begins his second season as the director of basketball operations for the women's basketball team. 

"Aaron is the perfect final piece to our staff," remarked head coach Kim Rosamond. "He brings a diverse skill set to the table, and he has gained valuable experience in many different areas at both Florida and Missouri.  Aaron is creative, driven, and possesses a relentless work ethic.  He will have a positive impact on our culture and our program.  I am proud to welcome him to the Tennessee Tech family." 

Sternecker joins the Golden Eagle family after serving as an assistant video coordinator for the University of Florida women's basketball team for two years. While with the Gators, Sternecker directly handled the team's social media graphics, recruiting mail outs, and highlight videos.

"Tennessee Tech has a rich tradition in women's basketball, and I am honored to be part of it," said Sternecker. "I look forward to the upcoming year and the excitement of a new era beginning under Coach Rosamond." 

Prior to his time at Florida, Sternecker served as an event and facility coordinator intern with Mizzou athletics from 2013-2014, where he worked primarily with the football, men's basketball, women's basketball, and women's soccer teams.

Sternecker received his BS in Sport Management from the University of Missouri in 2013, and then went on to obtain his Masters (also in Sport Management) from the University of Florida in 2016. While at Tech, Sternecker will assist in every facet of the day-to-day operations of the program. He will also serve as the video coordinator as well as oversee the program's social media presence.
