Today's subject is senior guard Jada Guinn. A talented player out of Oak Ridge, Guinn has shown countless times that not only can she shoot, she can defend as one of the most versatile players on the roster.

Here's 11 things Guinn wants you to know about her:

  1. I wear the number 24 because of Kobe Bryant. Growing up, he was my favorite player and he inspired me to become a better basketball player.
  2. My grandad was one of the first two black people to play on the basketball team at Oak Ridge HS. This marked the first break in segregation in a Tennessee school and he was the first black person to score for Oak Ridge HS.
  3. My favorite type of food is seafood! I love shrimp, crab legs and lobster tails.
  4. I'm a shoe fanatic. I have over 35 pairs of shoes, however that's not enough.
  5. Outside of basketball, shopping is my favorite hobby.
  6. I'm named after the rapper Jadakiss.
  7. My favorite doughnut place in Cookeville is Ralph's. The strawberry donut with cream cheese icing is my absolute favorite!
  8. I have a younger brother who is a freshman at Tech this year.
  9. I am left-handed, however, when it comes to sports, I am right-handed.
  10. My favorite types of shows to watch are food and housing shows such as Chopped and Love It or List It.
  11. I'm the first person in my family to play a Division I sport.
