Tennessee Tech women’s basketball hosts “Meet the Golden Eagles”

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. --- Just like in its home games from a season ago, the Tennessee Tech women’s basketball team continues to draw crowds as the Golden Eagle faithful packed the Eblen Center Thursday evening for the annual “Meet the Golden Eagles.”

Fans who attended the event got their first glimpse of the 2011-12 women’s basketball team that features 11 returnees and three newcomers.

After a 30 minute scrimmage, the reigning Ohio Valley Conference Coach of the Year Sytia Messer thanked the fans for their support and invited them to a dinner out on the concourse of the Eblen Center

The Golden Eagles host Bryan College in an exhibition contest Nov. 7, at 7 p.m., before opening their regular season on the road against East Tennessee State Nov. 11, in the opening round of the WNIT Preseason Tournament.
