COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Tech junior center Brittany Darling has been voted the co-Newcomer of the Week, for her efforts against Southeast Missouri. The honor was announced Monday by the OVC office.
Darling shares the Newcomer of the Week award with junior guard Taylor Hall out of UT Martin.
A transfer student out of Owens (Ohio) Community College, this
is the third consecutive week Darling has won the OVC Newcomer of
the Week award.
Against Southeast Missouri, Darling finished one rebound shy
of her third straight double-double as she posted 13 points and
nine rebounds. She shot 50 percent from the field connecting on
6-of-12 shots. Darling also posted two blocks.
Tech (8-2, 3-0 OVC) travels to Orlando as it takes on Central
Florida Wednesday at 3 p.m.
