Tech grabs three wins, new school record at Austin Peay

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – For the second-straight week, Tennessee Tech track & field's weekend was affected by impending weather.

Tech competed at the Austin Peay Governors Invitational on Friday, which was originally scheduled for both Friday and Saturday. The meet was condensed to one day due to expected storms for Saturday.

The Golden Eagles, who were without their distance corps at the meet, were still productive despite the loss of a day of competition – three event wins and a broken school record highlighted Tech's appearance at Austin Peay.

Both Na'Asha Robinson and D'Airrien Jackson took wins in the 200m and 400m dashes respectively. Robinson finished in 23.43 in the 200m, and Jackson timed 54.50 in the 400m.

Lisa Wickham also broke the school record in the 100m dash for the second-consecutive meet, having set the previous-best mark of 11.88 last week after the record of 11.92 had stood since April 2004. On Friday, Wickham knocked .12 off that time, running 11.76 to finish third in the event.

Tech's 4x100m relay squad of Ceirra Tate, Wickham, Jackson and Robinson also placed first with a time of 46.04.

Khemani Roberts also enjoyed a strong meet with top-4 finishes and Tech personal records in each of her three events: high jump, 100m hurdles and 200m dash.
