CLEMSON, S.C. – After an extended break for the holidays, Tennessee Tech track & field resumes its indoor season at the Orange & Purple Classic, hosted by Clemson University in South Carolina on Saturday, Jan. 6.
"We're very excited to resume competition this weekend," said head coach Wayne Angel. "We will be competing against nationally ranked teams from the SEC and ACC. Our goal this week is to evaluate our level of fitness coming back from the holidays, as well as test our competitiveness against some of the best athletes in the country."

Fourteen members of the Tech track & field team will head east to Clemson for the meet.
Tech opened its season at the Vanderbilt Indoor Opener on Saturday, Dec. 2, totaling 15 top-10 finishes in its 11 events. Na'Asha Robinson won the 400m dash and was the runner-up in the 200m, while D'Airrien Jackson placed third in the 400m. Lisa Wickham, Eshe Robinson and Raven Smith also had personal bests in their respective events.
Saturday's meet, which will take place inside Clemson's Indoor Track & Field Complex, begins at 9 a.m. CT with the field events.
