Tech heads to Nashville for Boston-Moon Relays

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech track and field team continues the outdoor season on Friday and Saturday as they head to Tennessee State to participate in the Boston-Moon Relays on TSU's campus.

The Golden Eagles will look to build off its last meet, which was also in Nashville on the campus of Vanderbilt.

Junior Tiara Hymon led the way both days, running a personal best 26.31 in the 200m-race on Friday. Her time was good enough for 19th out of over 40 competitors. On Saturday, she recorded a personal-best, and earned a place in the top-10 spot in the 100m-race. The Memphis, Tenn., native, ran a 12.58 in the 100m, good enough for 10th.

Members from the TTU men's cross country team will also be competing this weekend. Blake Rhoden will run the men's 1500-meter race, while Colin Gwaltney, Daniel Williamson, and Jordan Roth will run the men's 800-meter race.

Admission to the Boston-Moon Relays is $5 for adults and $3 for fans ages 5-17.
