A transfer to Tech a year ago from Bethel College, Ashley has one season of eligibility remaining after sitting out the 2013-14 seasons...will compete in several throwing events as a Golden Eagle including shot put and weight throw indoors, and shot, hammer and discus during the outdoor season.

on the roster due to transfer rules.
PREVIOUS SCHOOL: Ashley was a member of the track &
field team at Bethel as a freshman, competing in all the throwing
events...had career-bests of 116 feet, 5.25 inches in the discus,
104 feet, 6 inches in the hammer, 32 feet, 0.25 inches in the shot
put and 32 feet, 5.25 inches in the weight throw, and 74 feet, 11
inches in the javelin.
HIGH SCHOOL: A versatile athlete, Ashley competed in
basketball and softball, in addition to her standout career on the
track & field team...competed in both the discus and shot put
under coaches Debbie Watts and Tim Hall at Scott High School...2011
graduate...took third place in the discus at the TSSAA state meet
in 2010 as a junior...placed fourth in the discus at the 2011 TSSAA
state meet as a senior...valedictorian of her high school class and
the school's 2011 Student of the Year...named a Tennessee
Scholar.
PERSONAL: Ashley Nichole Lowe is the daughter of Jerry Lowe and Jodi Lowe ... younger sister, Alora Beth, is also a member of the TTU track team ... born June 30, 1993 in Robbins, Tenn....majoring in interdisciplinary studies with concentration in biology and EXPW......active on campus as a member of the tech Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the TTU TAB...on track to graduate in December, 2015.
